Based in Stratford, Ontario, the Stratford Festival is one of the world’s foremost repertory theatre companies. It operates year round, presenting a season of about a dozen plays each year between the months of April and November, a rich stream of digital content and hundreds of Forum events, designed to deepen understanding of the plays. For every person a theatregoer sees on our stages, we have seven people working behind the scenes, some of the world’s most dedicated and experienced arts workers. IT Technician -12 Month Contract

This position reports to the Manager of Information Technology or designate and is part of the Information Technology team. You will be responsible for resolving technical assistance requests for standard commercial and proprietary applications in a Windows 10 and Mac - networked environment

•Provide support - both hardware and software - for incoming technical assistance requests
•Record and maintain issues on Help Desk tracking software
•Analyze and solve technical problems by effectively communicating with customers and IT staff
•Escalate problems to Senior Team members when required
•Configure and install computers, printers, monitors etc.
•Lift and move computers, printers, monitors etc.
•There will be some after hours work including a rotating on-call shift

•Exceptional phone skills with strong verbal and written abilities
•Ability to prioritize, organize and work independently
•Strong level of skill using / supporting Windows 10 Enterprise and Mac O/S X
•Experience with Active Directory - managing users, groups and computers
•Experience with Microsoft Office 2016/2019
•Hands on experience using and troubleshooting PC hardware and peripherals
•Experience installing Windows 10 Enterprise and Mac O/S X
•Exposure to Parallels virtualized desktop environment
•Networking experience - Switches, Routers, Wireless APs

Preference will be given to candidates with a post-secondary diploma or higher in Information Technology or a related field.

This full time contract position is located in Stratford, Ontario and will begin as soon as possible

Job Type: Full Time Contract (12 month) with possibility of extension

Annual Salary: $42,840 - $51,409
