Description

SABA (Stratford and Area Builders’ Association) and the Stratford Home & Leisure Show (organized by the Rotary Club of Stratford and SABA) are looking for part-time bookkeeper.

Duties:

- receiving email information from the Home Show website
- calling exhibitors for credit card information if required
- creating invoices in Simply Accounting (showing 20% discount if a SABA member) and a credit card charge if paying by credit card and emailing them
- entering exhibitors' name, booth size and charge in Exhibitor's List
- entering sponsors and charge in Sponsor's List
- entering Not for Profits in that List
- for payments by Credit Card, go to the Square program, enter the credit card information, and print out the transaction (you will need this to reconcile the Bank Statement)
- picking up mail at the Post Office
- recording incoming invoices in Simply Accounting
- entering any cheques in the Deposit Book and depositing them at Scotiabank
- entering payments received in Simply Accounting
- check online banking for e-transfers and enter in Simply Accounting
- before each Committee meeting, print off the Accounts Payable, cheques for payment, Balance Sheet, Accounts Receivable and Income Statement
- scan and email this information to the Committee Members
- attend and report at the Committee meetings
- open the Scotiabank online account and print off the Bank Statement
- enter bank charges and reconcile Bank Statement
- Calculating floats for the Home Show Bank, reserving the float at Scotiabank and picking it up the day of the show
- Attending the actual Home Show and running the Bank keeping attendance records
- after receiving the July Bank Statement and reconciling it, prepare all the Home Show financial records and deliver them to Bryan Stacey at BDO for year end
- prepare the HST return and send it to Revenue Canada
- dealing with the banks for signing authorities

Required: The Simply Accounting program is Sage 50 Premium Accounting Version 2017
