Since 1979, Cheshire has been a non-profit, government-funded organization that works to enable adults with significant physical disabilities and frail seniors to live actively, independently and with dignity in their own community.
Cheshire’s Personal Attendants come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. Whether they are employed on a part-time or full-time basis, these dedicated individuals assist consumers with many aspects of their personal care and mobility.
By providing 'Person-Centered' support, Cheshire empowers our consumers by tailoring their care to their own unique needs, interests, requests, and preferences.
“[We] need to set our sights high, to be satisfied with nothing less than the best, and to commit ourselves totally and unreservedly to participate in the struggle to build a more liveable world.”
