The Avon-Maitland District School Board has a leading International Education Program bringing over 150 international students to study in Huron and Perth Counties each year.
Our region has two school boards. The Avon Maitland District School Board and Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board are among the highest achieving boards in the province of Ontario. In addition Avon Maitland schools attract students from around the world through its International Education Program welcoming over 150 paying students every year.
Elementary programming available includes French Immersion, Gifted Programs, Full Day Kindergarten, Special Education Programming.
Six secondary schools in the region offer full provincial curriculum and specialist programs including French Immersion, specialist high skill majors in Arts & Culture, Information & Technology, Hospitality & Tourism, Health & Wellness, Manufacturing, Construction, Energy, and Agriculture.

Technical Training Group – offers local, relevant technical and skilled trades’ training necessary for a career in professional trades. With TTG’s programs, people of all ages can learn from local, experienced instructors in a safe learning environment using up-to-date equipment that meets industry standards and requirements.
Conestoga Career Centre – The Conestoga Career Centre is your one stop for career direction, individual employment supports and connections to employers in Perth and Huron Counties.
Partners in Employment – Partners in Employment will provide a coordinated individualized service to people who experience job barriers in order to ensure access to fully integrated employment opportunities within Huron and Perth Counties.
Ontario Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities – The Regional Apprenticeship Office offers information on apprentice scholarships, employer incentives and apprenticeship programs.
Connect2SKILLS – Connect2SKILLS is funded by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development, and led by the Four County Labour Market Planning Board, this is a SkillsAdvance Ontario project. Participants who meet the eligibility criteria will complete training, at no cost, geared to preparing them for jobs in manufacturing in Stratford, Listowel & Perth County. Participants will have a paid job placement at the end of the training.
