Description

Smith Steel & Fabrication is a family owned custom manufacturing company, specializing in the fabrication of steel silos and storage tanks. We are currently looking for experienced welder-fitters with over 5 years of experience to join our team.

We are willing to take on welding apprentices.

Once successful applicants complete a probationary period, they are eligible for enrolment in the company benefits package that includes extended health and dental, life insurance, and disability. Duties and responsibilities will include:

Operation of manual and semi-manual welding equipment to fuse metal segments
Operation of flame-cutting equipment
Operation of brazing and soldering equipment
Required skills include:

Experience in GMAW and FCAW processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and process specs
Experience using metal shaping equipment such as shear, press brake, roller and ironworker
Ability to work well independently, and as part of a team
