Position: Tourism Assistant                                                  Posted:  March 13, 2019

Positions Available: 1                                                           Closing: March 20, 2019 @2:30pm

Status: Seasonal Contract (8 weeks)                                   Pay Range: $14.00

Start Date:  June 24, 2019                                                   Days of Work: Monday - Friday

Work Location: Town Hall                                                     Work Week: 35 hours/week

Responsibilities
Provide tourist information to visitors
Act as an ambassador for tourism information at Town events
Develop, edit and distribute tourism and events related information, publications and posters
Maintain inventories of brochures
Create and edit content for the corporate website, with a focus on tourism sections
Coordinate tourism outreach initiatives to support community activities and events
Update and maintain a local business listing
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Enrolled in post-secondary education program related to marketing or events management
Extensive knowledge of the history of the Town and familiarity of all Town festivals and events
Intermediate or advanced knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Office
Valid Class G Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
