Stationary Engineer – Junior (3rd or 4th Class), Powerhouse
The Helper assists in the operation and maintenance of control systems, boilers, compressors and other equipment to provide heat, ventilation, and refrigeration for our facility.
i) Monitor and inspect plant equipment, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, meters and other instruments to measure temperature, pressure and fuel flow, to detect leaks or other equipment malfunctions and to ensure plant equipment is operating normally.
ii) Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunctions.
iii) Complete Preventative, predictive maintenance tasks as per the company’s extensive PM Programme.
iv) Able to troubleshoot and solve various mechanical issues as they arise.
v) Performs assigned duties and advises Senior Stationary Engineer of any production or quality issues as they arise.
vi) Able to follow regular daily routines. Also able to work without direct supervision.
vii) Adhere to GMP and all other Food Safety Practices as established by Erie Meat Products to ensure safe quality products are manufactured.
viii) Follow Health and Safety Guidelines as established by Erie Meat Products to maintain a safe work environment.
Education, Training or Work Experience:
i) Third or Fourth Class Stationary Engineer Certificate
-Proven mechanical aptitude
-Reliable attendance -Able to work independently
-Must have reliable transportation
-High attention to detail
-Continue Certification process
