The QA Technician monitors the employees, equipment, premises, and product in order to safeguard the production of safe, wholesome food.
i) Perform daily monitoring checks, routine calibrations as per program and frequencies.
ii) Well versed with regulatory and GFSI standards to ensure food safety compliance.
iii) Complete pre-operational inspections of production lines, document completion and communicate any non-conformances.
iv) Complete and document results for various QA related tasks and tests for HACCP requirements ensuring non-conformances are communicated. May include placing product on HOLD.
v) Complete daily walkthroughs of designated areas; report to area Production Supervisor any non-conformances for immediate resolution.
vi) Adhere to and enforce GMP and all other Food Safety Practices as established by Erie Meat Products to ensure safe quality products are manufactured.
vii) Perform regular daily routines without direct supervision. Advises QA Manager of any quality issues as they arise.
Education, Training or Work Experience:
- College Diploma in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or related field.
- QA/ QC experience in food manufacturing environment preferred.
- HACCP Training Series is an asset. Willing to train the right candidate.
