Operator, Peeler – Day
The Peeler Operator is responsible for the operation of equipment used to prepare links of hotdogs for packaging.
i) Continuously feed links of cooked wieners into peeling equipment at a fast pace while working as a team.
ii) Understand the operation, basic upkeep of and complete minor adjustments to peeling equipment, including changing knives when necessary. Work with Maintenance to communicate and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
iii) Monitor flow and quality of product as it enters peeling area and notify smokehouse operator of any issues.
iv) Perform regular daily routines without direct supervision. Advise Lead Hand of any issues.
v) Complete associated documentation as established by Erie Meat Products for inventory tracking or other purposes.
Education, Training or Work Experience:
Some experience operating machinery as well as some experience working in food processing or other manufacturing environment.

Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm *or whenever the line is done, Monday to Friday
Rate: $15.54 Hourly
