Maintenance Stockroom Admin
The Maintenance Stock Room Lead Hand is responsible for the purchasing of all maintenance parts, supplies and services, as well as maintaining the inventory control of parts.
i) Obtain tenders for yearly contracts on day to day parts. Review quotes/ tenders and negotiate pricing when requested. Source parts that are already in our system.
ii) Manage the inventory control system with physical cycle counts on an ongoing basis. Maintain inventory levels; establish min/max amounts based on usage and lead times.
iii) Build and maintain relationships with vendors to encourage expedited parts and services when needed. Ensure any vendor related issues are resolved efficiently.
iv) Co-ordinate accurate and timely responses to parts requests.
v) Receive deliveries and document in the inventory system.
vi) Data entry to enter/close all purchase orders, collate packing slips/ invoices with purchase orders. Ensure all purchase orders are sent to accounting weekly for payment.
vii) Produce weekly reports for accounting and management purposes.
viii) Advise Maintenance Manager of any issues which will impact production.
ix) Follow and enforce Health and Safety Guidelines as established by Erie Meat Products to maintain a safe work environment.
x) Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education, Training or Work Experience:
Mechanical and/or stockroom purchasing background would be an asset.
- Strong Organization Skills
- Computer skills(data entry, email, Excel)
- Read mechanical drawings of equipment
- Lift up to 20 kg
- Attention to detail
- Must have reliable transportation
- Strong communicator (written and verbal)
Hours: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Rate: $18.70 Hourly
