Machine Operator (Grinder) – Day
The Grinder is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery used to prepare frozen and/or fresh raw ingredients for blending.
i) Operate grinding and other production equipment used for processing meat while maintaining product flow to lines and ensuring continuous operation.
ii) Understand the operation, basic upkeep of equipment while completing minor adjustments. Work with Maintenance to communicate and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
iii) Assist Blender and Servicers as needed.
iv) Keep area tidy and free of cardboard, waste or empty combos.
v) Work with Cooler Inventory personnel and Production Lead Hand to ensure correct meat block is being used and inventory is controlled.
vi) Perform regular daily routines without direct supervision. Advises Lead Hand of any production or quality issues as they arise.
vii) Complete associated documentation as established by Erie Meat Products for inventory tracking, HACCP plan compliance or other purposes.
Education, Training or Work Experience: Some experience operating machinery in food processing or other manufacturing environment

Pay Rate: $15.54 Hourly
Hours: 5:30 am – 4:00 pm *or whenever the line is done , Monday-Friday
