Line Operator, HD – Afternoons
The Line Operator is responsible for the operation of equipment used to vacuum pack ready to eat wieners.
i) Observe flow and quality of product as it enters/exits the RTE room; Understand the operation, basic upkeep of and complete minor adjustments to packing equipment. Work with Maintenance to communicate and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
ii) Monitor and change film as needed. Be knowledgeable about product specs to select proper film.
iii) Understand date coding and change codes as needed and as per customer specs.
iv) Ensure materials required to complete the days schedule are onsite.
v) Perform regular daily routines without direct supervision. Advises HD RTE Lead Hand of any production or quality issues as they arise.
vi) Complete associated documentation as established by Erie Meat Products for inventory tracking or other purposes.
Education, Training or Work Experience:
i) Some experience operating machinery in food processing or other manufacturing environment
ii) Some experience operating machinery
-Proven mechanical aptitude
-Function under pressure
-Lift 30 kg periodically
-Work on feet for 8 to12 hours
-Must have reliable transportation
-Above average hand to eye coordination
-Punctual and reliable
-Follow verbal direction
-Attention to detail
-Work with poultry, pork or beef
-Fast paced environment
Pay Rate: $15.54 Hourly
Hours: 4:00 pm – 12:30 am, Monday to Friday
