Description

Position: Lifeguard                                              Posted: January 31, 2018

Positions Available: 1                                         Closing: February 7, 2018 at 2:30pm

Status: Part-time                                               Pay Range: $13.15 – $16.01

Days of Work: various (Sunday- Saturday)       Hours of Work: evenings & weekends, days during Summer

Work Location: Pyramid Recreation Centre & Quarry

Work Week: 10-20 hours/week (increases for summer and holidays)

Reason for Posting: Replacement

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all aquatic users and enforce legislated ratios of Lifeguards to users
  • Respond to emergency situations as prescribed
  • Perform prescribed pool tests and report results
  • Clean pool, store equipment and perform other maintenance as required
  • Instruct and evaluate participants in the Red Cross Water Safety Program
  • Respond to user inquiries and complaints

Qualifications

  • National Lifeguard Service Certification
  • Lifesaving Society Instructor Certification
  • Red Cross Instructor Certification
  • Automatic External Defibrillator Certification
  • First Aid/CPR Certificate - for adults and children
