General Labourer, Chub Production – Days
The General Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of duties on the production line which may include packing, sorting, placing of raw products.
i) Work on a production line packaging ground meat products as directed by Lead Hand.
ii) Performs assigned duties and advises Lead Hand of any production or quality issues as they arise.
iii) Able to follow regular daily routines. Also able to work without direct supervision when tasks have been thoroughly defined.
iv) Adhere to GMP and all other Food Safety Practices as established by Erie Meat Products to ensure safe quality products are manufactured.
v) Follow Health and Safety Guidelines as established by Erie Meat Products to maintain a safe work environment.
vi) Maintain hygiene levels of self and attire as appropriate for food handling purposes.
vii) Perform other duties as assigned by their Lead Hand.
Education, Training or Work Experience: Experience working in food processing or other manufacturing environment.
-Able to work with poultry, pork or beef
-Ability to work on feet for 8 to 12 hrs/ day
-Good hand to eye coordination
-Work in a fast paced environment
Rate: $15.00 Hourly
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm , Monday-Friday
