D&D is currently recruiting for Controls and Automatoin positions with varying degrees of experience to join our team and support our growing organization. We are looking for people who will fully support the D&D vision and goals, and fully participate and contribute to the D&D team!

Duties:

- Responsible for automation and controls systems design, specification, programming, simulation, testing, and startup assistance.
- Deal directly with customers and suppliers, managing these relationships and aspects of project scope under the direction of a Senior Project Manager.
- Assist with project estimating as required.
- Working with and providing direction, coaching, and mentoring to students and junior staff.
- Attend seminars and various training opportunities to maintain and increase technical skills.
- Participate in meetings and ensure effective communication with team, management, customers and suppliers.
- Uphold safe work practices and participate in developing and maintaining our culture of safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must be a graduate of Electrical Engineering Technology, Robotics and Automation, or a related diploma program, or have a degree in Electrical Engineering. Previous experience in the automotive industry is a strong asset.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Knowledge of electircal design and layout
- PLC programming knowledge and experience, specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens
- Knowledge of HMI and SCADA programming
- Robot programming and interface knowledge, specifically ABB and Fanuc (Motoman and Kuka would be an asset)
- Knowledge of logic and flow diagrams, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical (Eplan is an asset)
- Highly motivated and able to work in a team environment and welcome new challenges
- Ability to travel frequently for extended periods of time
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and work with demanding timelines
- Highly motivated and able to work in a team environment and welcome new challenges
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
